SFS LIVE CERTIFICATION

Do you want to become a better coach for your surfers, practice with and meet like-minded people, and be guided by experienced coaches? Then the SFS live certification is for you.

In the Level 1 SFS Online certification you learnt the underpinning theories behind our surf-specific training system. In this two-day face-to-face course, you will discover how to apply these concepts in one-on-one or small group training environments. You will not only conduct, but interpret the SFS performance tests, use effective coaching tips and learn how to structure a session in both the pool and the gym, enabling you with all the tools you need to excel in your own practice.

SURF-SPECIFIC DRY LAND TRAINING

Learn to effectively perform and coach all of our performance tests and staple exercises.

Gain confidence guiding surfers and coaches through all paddling performance tests.

Your Questions Answered

Can I still register for the SFS Level 2 Live certification if I haven't completed the SFS Level 1 Online certification?

Although completion of the SFS Level 1 Online course is not a pre-requisite to attend this workshop we highly recommend it. To achieve the SFS Level 2 Live certification you will need to complete both the on-line and face-to-face components, which will provide you with in-depth theoretical and practical knowledge of our training system.

Do I need to bring my surfboard?

We don't travel anywhere without our boards and we recommend you bring your own too! You will use it in the pool for our ESD performance tests and training sessions, and if you are lucky enough, you might be able to sneak out for a wave during your visit. However, we will carry some extra boards that you are more than welcome to use if you run out of checked in baggage. 

What equipment do I need to bring?

You might want to take some notes so we recommend bringing your digital device (laptop/tablet) or paper and pen. You will also need fitness attire and the attitude to practice and learn. Make sure to pack your goggles, swimwear, towel, wetsuit and surfboard for all swimming pool activities. But you don't need to write this down, you'll get an email reminder with all the info.

Do you provide assistance with flights and accommodation?

Flights and accomodation are not included in the package. However, there are plenty of accomodation options on the island which we will let you know about once you´re signed up and ready to go. 

Do I need to pack my own food?

If you´re anything like us, snacks are life. We recommend packing food to keep your stomach happy post a few intense sessions. If you´re not one for meal-prep, there are also plenty of restaurant options nearby to discover during the lunch break.
